The following is a description of where various sizes sell best:

Quart: Sells best in retail grocery section, for individual use.
1/2 Gallon: Convenient for large families, great for club stores & similar uses.
Gallon: Mostly used where customer buys by the piece/pound. For example, in counter or convenience store sales.
2-1/2 Gallon: Best Value! Along with gallons, these are great for counter sales. Perfect for Meat Departments and Carnicerias where volume is highest. Jars sit right on top of meat case and product is sold by the piece/pound.
